The cost for a "downloadable" upgrade is only
$24.95. An updated User Handbook is included in the download file. The file is
731KB and
it takes approximately 3-4 minutes to download it with a 28.8/33.3 modem.
Every
"original" PC-Technician SYSTEM Diskette label has a unique 8-character Serial
Number on it. Note - some labels have a 9-character Serial Number because a zero was
mistakenly added as the fourth character. If this is the case with your label do not use
the zero. Only 8-character Serial Numbers will validate below.
Note: if
you have a much older version of PC-Technician the SYSTEM Diskette label will have a
3-character Product Code and a 5-character Serial Number. For these versions combine the
Product Code (list first) with the Serial Number (with no spaces or dashes between them)
to form the 8-character Serial Number.
